Important note
Online and telephone top ups are added to your myki when you touch your card to a myki reader or myki machine. If you do not touch your myki to one of these devices within 90 days of topping up online or via the call centre, your top up is temporarily suspended. You will need to reactivate your top up in order to collect it.
When an online or telephone top up is suspended, any pre-existing value on your myki card is unaffected and your myki remains available to use for travel. If your myki card balance is low, you may need to top up at a myki machine or retail outlet to pay for your next trip.
Your online or phone top up will be reactivated and comes out of suspension up to 24 hours after you:
Infrequent travellers may prefer to top up just before they travel using a myki machine or at a retail outlet. The value is added to the myki card straightaway, so passengers can travel immediately.
